Pakistan won only 1st one day of the series and after that they have to face four crushing defeats. Due to those defeats, Shoaib Malik, was being sacked from the captaincy of the team. At that stage, Younis Khan was appointed as a new captain. And under his captaincy, Pakistani team is playing first test match against Sri Lanka. Every One was expecting a very good come back by Pakistan team under the captaincy of Younis Khan. But all got vain when Sri Lanka put 403 runs, against the loss of three wickets only, on the board at the end of 1st day of test match. The usage of bowling resources was hopeless and it’s not the end of the negligence because along with that the field positions were also very poor.On second day of test match, it seemed that hosts got some lesson and they bowled a little bit well but the damage had already been done by the Sri Lankan batsmen. Now, Pakistani batsmen have to put huge scores on the board so that they can save their side.No one criticize any team on its bad performance but if the team played poorly with out any reason then every one would raise finger on the team. The attitude that was shown by the Pakistani team and their team selection was still under criticism. Younis Khan and Intikhab Alam, known as “Inti Bhai”, planned a very poor strategy and as a result of that strategy Pakistan team is suffering from the fears of losing a test match. When the same thing was being asked from the coach, he simply put blame on the curators of the pitch and said that pitch was not up to their plan. If similar kind of performances were required then why the board had sacked previous coach, Jeff Lawson and x-captain Shoaib Malik from their jobs. It was the same attitude that has been adopted by the previous authorities and now it is being continued by the new authorities as well. Even the previous authorities were giving much better results then the current results. So who is going to ask this from the board that what is going on? We can only hope for the best and nothing more then that.

            Today in Pakistan we are facing shortage of almost every basic need of life like water, gas, and especially electricity. It is the worst conditions we are facing now a days. The reason for that is…well we all know “THE REASONS” don’t we!!! Few days back I was reading an article in a local newspaper which was about getting electricity like many European countries which is from “Wind Turbines”. It’s a very good idea and we must have to think other ways of energy to meet our needs. Another idea which I’m going to discuss here is “SOLAR ENERGY”. As we all know that summer season is longer than winter in Pakistan. So it means we can get more and more sunlight. In my view Solar Energy Systems will be more successful in Pakistan than any European country because thankfully we can have more sunlight than Europe. Many scientists and engineers from all over the world are working in this field. Some say that it’ll be very costly, YES it’ll be but only in start as like everything when it’s new its price is high but when the competition arises then prices goes down its simple economics. We’ve used the Sun for drying clothes and food for thousands of years, but only recently have we been able to use it for generating power. The Sun is 150 million Kilometers away, and amazingly powerful. Just the tiny fraction of the Sun’s energy that hits the Earth (around a hundredth of a millionth of a percent) is enough to meet all our power needs many times over. In fact, every minute, enough energy arrives at the Earth to meet our demands for a whole year – if only we could harness it properly and preserve it.

            Here are some techniques that are being used in many parts of the world to get energy from the sun light.

Solar Cells (really called “photovoltaic” or “photoelectric” cells) that convert light directly into electricity. In a sunny climate, you can get enough power to run a 100W light bulb from just one square metre of solar panel. This was originally developed in order to provide electricity for satellites, but these days many of us own calculators powered by solar cells. Solar cells provide the energy to run satellites that oribt the Earth. These give us satellite TV, telephones, navigation, weather forecasting, the internet and all manner of other facilities

Solar water heating, where heat from the Sun is used to heat water in glass panels on your roof. This means you don’t need to use so much gas or electricity to heat your water at home. Water is pumped through pipes in the panel. The pipes are painted black, so they get hot when the Sun shines on them. This helps out your central heating system, and cuts your fuel bills. However, in very cold places especially in winter season you must remember to drain the water out to stop the panels freezing. Solar heating is worthwhile in places like California, Australia, South East Asia (Pakistan, India, Bangladesh) where you get lots of sunshine as I mentioned it earlier.

Solar Towers One idea that is being considered is to build Solar Towers. The idea is very simple – you build a big greenhouse, which is warmed by the Sun. In the middle of the greenhouse you put a very tall tower. The hot air from the greenhouse will rise up this tower, fast – and can drive turbines along the way. This could generate significant amounts of power, especially in countries where there is a lot of sunshine and a lot of room, such as Australia.

Solar Power is renewable. The Sun will keep on shining anyway, so it makes sense to use it.

            Why “THE PROFESSIONALS” from Europe and America etc. I’ll suggest that to lower the cost we should use our own manpower which is cheaper and hardworking. By the Grace of ALLAH we are Blessed with everything in our country like skilled manpower, raw material and especially more and more SUN LIGHT!!! As I mentioned earlier Europe like UK and many other countries are facing problem with less sun light but By the Grace of ALLAH we don’t have to face it. We just need good management of these things and work with diligence. INSHALLAH we’ll be successful. Pakistan will be successful. LONG LIVE PAKISTAN!

PAKISTAN JUMPS IN TO THE MATRIX OF THE CYBER WORLD

To organize the matrix of the cyber world and to get and achieved the great common end for man, to regulate the electronic issues and to deal the electronic crimes in same prototype and procedure, the nations of the world are introducing laws of prevention of electronic crime in their perspective countries, but the steps towards this common end by the world nations are unfortunately very leisurely and restful. It is question to all the nations of the world which are widely dependent and reliant of the electronic mechanism of life, why they are so lethargic and in-hasten to enact the prevention of electronic crime laws on domestic level with the perspective of international trans-border access. A bold, sagacious and in time step has been taken by the government of Pakistan to introduce the Prevention of Electronic Crime Ordinance 2007, although it vulnerable by the critics under the legal debates but conversely it was inevitable to introduce an electronic legal mechanism for the cyber world.

A applause might have render to Pakistan for getting bold and eventual step to enact the Prevention of electronic crime Ordinance 2007, (hereinafter referred as Ordinance) which elucidate as Section 3 of criminal access, Section 4 of criminal data access, Section 5 of data damages, Section 6 system damages, Section 7 is electronic fraud, Section 8 is electronic forgery, Section 9 misuse of electronic system and electronic device, Section 10 is unauthorized access to code, Section 11 is misuse of encryption, Section 12 is malicious code, Section 13 is cyber stalking, Section 14 is spamming , Section 15 is spoofing, Section 16 is unauthorized interception and section 17 is about cyber terrorism a controversial section o the ordinance.

All the above mention sections of the ordinance coat comprehensively all offences and crimes of electronic and computer and internet system, which are commonly known and faced all over the world. The only one section 17 of cyber terrorism is to be got controversial one, which is swinging globe of the legal debate. No sagacious person on earth can deny the existence of the evil/ terrorism faced by the human race, the only difference and criticism about its exact agreed definition and methods to prosecute cyber criminals and terrorists.

               The chapter iii of the ordinance explicate the prosecution and trial of offences, all the offences under the ordinance are compoundable and non-cognizable and bail-able except the offences punishable with imprisonment for seven year or more.

            The information and communication technology tribunal shall take cognizance and try any offence under this ordinance and all the proceedings before the tribunal shall be deemed to be judicial proceedings within the meanings of relevant section of PPC 1860 and tribunal shall deemed to be a court. The tribunal may on awarding punishment of imprisonment or fine or both for commission of any offence make an order for payment of any compensation to the victim for any damage cause to his electronic system or data by commission of the offence and the compensation so awarded shall be recoverable as arrears of land and revenue.

            Chapter iv talks about the establishment of investigation and prosecution agencies, the federal government shall establish a specialized investigation and prosecution cell within Federal Investigation Agencies to investigate offences for purposes of investigation widely has been awarded to the investigation agencies such as subject to obtaining the search warrant an officer have access to and inspect the operation of any electronic system, have access to or demand any information code or technology for the purposes of investigation require any person by whom or on whose behalf the investigation officer has reasonable cause to believe any electronic system has been used, require any person who is in possession of decryption information of under investigation electronic system device or data.

            The chapter iv further reveal that the federal government its may require a licensed services provider, within its existing or required technical capability, to collect or record through the application of technical means or to cooperate and assist any law enforcement or intelligence agency in the collection or recording of traffic data or data in real-time, associated with specified communications transmitted by means of an electronic system.

            The Section 29 of chapter 4 is relating to the trans- border access which discusses that for the purposes of investigation the federal government or the investigation agencies may without permission of any foreign government or international agency access publicly available electronic system or data notwithstanding the geographical location of such electronic system or data located in foreign country or territory if it obtains the lawful and voluntary consent of the person who has the lawful authority to disclose it, provided that such access has not prohibited under the law of the foreign government or the international agency.

            The Section 29 trans-border access collaborate with the international cooperation section 30 of chapter v of the ordinance covering up the cyber issues & offences, without trans-border access cannot be even say cyber law, all the globe may be place where cause of action accrued and without trans-border access cyber offences and crime cannot be investigate properly.

               The Section 30 of international cooperation elaborates as the federal government may cooperate with any foreign government, Interpol or any other international agency with whom it has or establishes reciprocal arrangements for the purposes of investigation or proceedings concerning offences related to electronic system or data or for the collection of evidence in electronic form of an offence or obtaining expeditious preservation and disclosure of traffic data or data by means of electronic system or real- time collection of traffic data associated with specified communication or interception of data, consequent subsection 2 and 5 discloses with detail the method to cooperate involving the other sovereign countries to investigate the offences, without prejudicing the rights, sovereignty, security, public order or other essential interests of governments.

            The chapter vii of the ordinance is about the miscellaneous and more importantly about the schedule which includes others electronic laws as;

1.      The Electronic Transaction Ordinance 2002.

2.      The Pakistan Telecommunication (re-organization) Act 1996.

3.      The Telegraphy Act 1885.

4.      The Wireless Telegraphy Act 1933.

This all means to deter and to discourage any activity of electronic offence by any electronic means, just law is nothing but the law enforcement institution which are sole responsible to approach the real spirit of laws.

From the stage of crowd to society and to the civilized society, laws have played a vital role. The traditional concept of war and aggression of one nation to other may be evaporate gradually and to get the justification to declare war against the other country or nation may be erased, as man of this time has visualized the outrageous and terrible of his common enemy, the terrorism, all the nations of the world never be agreed but on terrorism. This civilized world has imagined and even undergoes mutually the loss by terrorists but perhaps through the medium of the electronic technology terrorists can suffer the mankind irreparable and irreversible loss. Sooner or later only proper enactment of laws of prevention of electronic crimes can play more vital role than any deadly weapon against the cyber terrorists and cyber criminals.

The 3 days One Day International cricket series being played between Pakistan and Sri Lanks is now leveled at 1-1 leaving the game open for both teams.Tillakaratne Dilshan amassed 76 runs for Sri Lanka as they ended their inning with 290-8 off 50 overs. Opener Khurram Manzoor and veteran player Younis Khan both fell victim to deliveries by Kulasekera. Salman Butt was once again faced with the daunting task of chasing the Sri Lankan total. Doing the best he could, Butt scored 62 runs but could not match his performance of the day before when his unbeaten century had cruised Pakistan to victory. Pakistan team skipper Shoaib Malik scorec 54 off just 52 balls with the help of 5 boundaries and a sixer. Salman Butt and Shoaib Malik put on a 108 runs together for their cricket team but unfortunately couldn’t defeat the Sri Lanka cricket team.Muttiah Muralitharan, a legend in off-spinning broke the duo’s partnership by getting rid of Malik. After that, the whole Pakistani team crumpled for just 161 runs. Mendis quickly got rid of the lower order batting line up. Afridi, with the exception of Butt and Malik was the only batsman on the Pakistani side to have reached double figures with just 14 runs.Having won the toss, Malik decided to invite the host team to bat first. Not a good idea as Pakistan has a poor record of chasing runs.After having been left out of the team during Sri Lanka’s one day cricket series against 3 sides, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe, Dilshan has made quite a return. He scored 42 in the first match and 76 in the second despite playing at a new position at the top of the batting order. Alongside Thilina Kandamby, he scored a total of 99 runs for the 3rd wicket partnership. Kandamby was playing instead of Jehan Mubarak and above the Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardene. He scored 59 off 79 deliveries and was finally caught by Shoaib Malik off a ball by Rao Iftikhar Anjum.Chamara Kapugedara made a quick 44 from 39 deliveries including 2 magnificent sixes.Umar Gul remained the highest wicket taker for Pakistan as he took 4-58 including the all-important wicket of Sanath Jayasuriya. Jayasuriya got out as he accidentally stepped onto his stumps while trying to defend.Jayawardene said his team owed its’ success to having learnt from the mistakes it had made in the previous match.The 3rd and last match of the series will be played on Saturday, 24th Jan, in Lahore.
