The C905 will be the first slider phone launched under the recently renamed C-Series. The soft-grip plastic handset looks more like a Walkman phone model than a member of the Cyber-shot family. The camera on the C905 is protected by a sliding lens cover and features auto-focus options including face detection, and a Smart Contrast option.
A Xenon flash is found above the lens that can be switched on as a constant source of lighting for shooting videos. The handset isn’t quite official at this point, but that hasn’t stopped pics and specs of the Sony Ericsson C905 from flooding the intertubes. Sony C905 is shaping up to be a serious smartphone, the likes of which Nokia’s N-series will have to counter if they want to stay on top of the cameraphone market.
The C905 Cyber-shot and S302 Snapshot have been developed to make us all better photographers! That means making it easier to take great shots and never missing that magic moment.
The C905 Cyber-shot will be available in three colours (Night Black, Ice Silver and Copper Gold).

The C905’s screen is a 2.4” item with a scratch resistant coating; it has a motion sensor to automatically flip the screen and a TV-Out socket to view those pictures on a big screen. Sony Ericsson have really pulled out all the stops with the C905! There’s no doubting the design though, as the keypad, brushed lens cover and smooth, rounded edges of the casing all look great. The official announcement of the C905 cannot come soon enough, as this is one of the most exciting phones Sony Ericsson have released for some time, but the end of 2008 looks likely as the release date.
